Lilliane Berceron - Level 1

Now at retirement age, I have continually practised yoga in the Iyengar style since my early 20s when living in Sydney.

My practice and my teachers have been a beacon and a very valuable support in my life. I attended regular classes to correct structural issues in my body but over time I noticed a mental shift. Not only stability in my body was taking place but on the mental and emotional level, stability was also emerging.

I obtained my teaching certificate level 1 in 2009 after moving to the Blue Mountains.

I often wonder how people can survive without such a powerful physical, philosophical discipline in their life.

I am immensely grateful to my teachers who have practiced on numerous occasions close to Mr Iyengar and have the devotion to teach me in return.

The practice of yoga for me is a tool that helps me to unravel and reflect on my own nature as a human being and to marvel in it in spite of the challenges thrown at me. I am lucky to be able to practice not only on my own but with a supporting group of like-minded committed students/teachers and share the fun together under the influence of our devoted talented teacher.
