Jude Finch - Level 2

I first encountered yoga in my mid-teens, so I have maintained a practice for more than 50 years. Yoga has meant very different things to me at different stages of my life – respite, escape, solace, alignment, integration, purpose – always foundational to physical and mental health. I feel deeply fortunate that I met yoga and yoga met me! I stayed on the yoga path because I simply felt more myself when I practiced. Over the years, my other work world has always been negotiated around my important and necessary classes, where I was a simple student of this incredible discipline. With a Level 2 qualification, I have had the privilege of teaching for over 20 years and have learnt so much from students. I don’t know how anyone copes without yoga, the experience of the breath and the opening of the closeted energetic body. Yoga is core to my sense of who I am in the world, providing a place of sanctuary and a means of aligning my internal and external life. I like to think that I continue to contribute to community building with integrity and passion and yoga gives me the drive, compassion and stability for this work.
